In this blog, we wanted to do something different, and we will share some simple tips or tricks that will allow you to learn English, but always remember that our doors are open to accompany you on this path with our 100% communicative approach programs and our methodology, innovative, dynamic and close.
1.- Sing songs in English
If you are fond of music and you sing in the shower, choose songs that motivate you and make sure you learn their lyrics very well. You will become familiar with the accent and expand your vocabulary, but above all you will have fun, we all know that when we enjoy we learn in a better way.
2.- Watch movies and series in English
With the arrival of the different streaming platforms ,like netflix and disney plus, you can easily find series or movies that you will like, but what if you dare to challenge yourself to see it in its original language and see how many of the dialogues you can understand. Above all, many of these platforms give us the option to change the language of the subtitles, which is an excellent way to read and listen in English simultaneously, apart from having fun with the adventures of your favorite actors.
3.- Buy a notebook for your English notes
It may be old-fashioned, but it is one of the best ways to remember the new phrases or words that we get to know every day, and the most important thing is that it is a “must have” partner in our backpacks, so every day before going to sleep, we dedicate 10 minutes to review what they have learned so far.
4.- Thinks in English
We spend the day talking to ourselves, sometimes consciously and sometimes we do not realize we are doing it. Try to think in English and your brain will become more receptive to the language.
For example, if you are making a shopping list, thinking about something that happened to you yesterday or planning the weekend, why not do it in English? You will not realize that you will do it unconsciously and fluently with the passing of the days.
5.- Challenge google translator
Think of a phrase in Spanish and how you would say it in English, and then write in the translator, to see how it translates it. Does it look similar? Do you translate better than the translator? That is because you are already improving, since it is not perfect because it is a machine and does not always understand the contexts of the phrase!.
6.- Enjoy it
The most important thing is to enjoy it, to see that each small advance brings us closer to the goals we have set for ourselves, whether it is to get a better job, plan a trip or simply enjoy a conversation with a person who does not share our native language.
7.- Planning and commitment
You think that you do not have time to take an English course, the first thing you should do is commit to it and for that it is very important that you plan your time, how many hours a week you will dedicate to the study and practice English, but especially the perseverance with which you approach it.
