Hello, followers of One Language, my name is Angel Barria and I am a teacher in One Language. In this post, I would like to tell you about my experience with English and how this language has transformed my life.
The first experience that comes to my mind with this language is when I was a little girl and I started to read different kinds of books, just for fun. I remember that my parents gifted me a story collection of Disney in English that I didn’t put away for a long time. I also remember that it was a whole challenge to read in English since I had to look for a lot of words in the dictionary in order to understand the stories, but I always enjoyed those moments of reading.
Years later, I got interested in music, more specifically I began to listen to English artists; which increased my interest in this beautiful language. I remember that I started to translate lyrics, so I could understand better the meaning of the songs. I began to learn English on my own (to) be able to speak English since, at that moment, it drew my attention to travel, go to my favorite concerts and festivals around the world.
After a long time, I decided to study English pedagogy because I Ioved the idea of learning and teaching another language. While I was studying, I realized that English delivered a huge amount of opportunities in different aspects, such as job opportunities, journeys, and new experiences.
With the pass of time, I had the opportunity to work with One Language; the institution promotes a learning style that I love; it is focused on a communicative methodology. Besides, it allows me to deliver opportunities, new abilities, and strategies to students that will allow them to reach their goals using the language.I would love to invite you all to form part of the One Language family so that you can have the opportunity to live the experience of learning English in an innovative and unique way. This can let me share my experience with the students and share the motto we have in One Language: We Want the best version of you!!!!!!
